I’m currently in recovery from my wisdom teeth extraction, hence the lack of updates, but I do have a lot of stuff to share. I couldn’t get a particular post out in time for today because it’s incomplete. Nevertheless, I wanted to share this quote with all of you today, the 29th of February 2016 because four years from now, on the next 29th of February in 2020, I’ll be able to look back and see how far I’ve come.
It was February 11th 2016 that I found this blog, (http://mylifeisacirque.blogspot.sg/) by a NECCA student, and possibly one of the best quotes that will go with me on my journey.
“There is a moment just before performing a big drop on fabric that whispers “You could die”. I often answer “Excellent” and all at once surrender myself to gravity…
I unravel every wrap that took such care to create, years of training and tears to perfect. Each twist and turn I strike a new pose as I fall. My soul whimpers, terrified “You’re dying”. My brain roars with ecstasy as I near the end …
But truth be told…when the lock of fabric I tied so delicately around my thigh tightens, jolting me to a stop… I’m absolutely intoxicated with bliss that I’m alive.
Maddening, joyous bliss.”
